Infinitron is the third encounter in the Vryllon Citadel raid. It is a one-phase encounter with intermissions that allow for changing mechanics in the battle, and additionally features a second phase exclusive to Rising difficulty.

Background[]

Dungeon Guide[]

The Infinitron is the name of a gargantuan construct deployed by the Shard of the Sun in singular units to restore unity to corrupt, desolate, and malevolent worlds, even deemed beyond redemption. Limited in number, they still pose a significant threat, damning entire continents with its power, bringing enemies to their knees. Boasting large levels of firepower in the forms of a solium generator and ensnaring spires, the Infinitron guarding the citadel's vaults stands as an obstacle of great stature.

Encounter Design[]

One thing that wasn't shown in great detail was the powerful war machines the Shard used as purifiers of malevolent worlds. We had the Soliaths in Luxor Reach, but there were speculative moments if they were in fact, a battle for a raid of adventurers. As we couldn't use a Soliath for reasons you're free to speculate, the Shard brought in the Infinitron as it made more sense to have as a bulwark for enemy invaders, as they deploy these machines to the countless other words felled by the influence of evil.

Overview[]

The Infinitron is heavily pooled as a fight where players must cooperate with the mechanics, in case with the weapons, and be wary of dangerous, suppressive fire the Infinitron utilizes. It will be a test of healing to see to it that no one falls, as well as damage for destroying the weapons fast enough for the Infinitron to not bolster an offensive. The Rising phase heavily tests the coordination of the raid with how well they can deal with these mechanics in the form of mini-bosses that must be defeated fast and careful enough before a wipe ensues.

Abilities[]

Phase I: Apocalyse Protocol[]

  • Gauntlet Smash: The Infinitron slams its gauntlets on the ground, dealing 352,954 - 355,432 damage split amongst five enemies.
  • Solium Mortar: Bombards the target, dealing 113,431 - 114,532 damage to them.
    • 12 damage that weren't affected by the initial impact.Solium Scorch: On Rising difficulty, the target also burns for 85,432 damage over 3 seconds. This stacks.
  • Infinite Barrage: Calls down an infinite barrage, dealing 165,432 - 180,900 damage to all enemies in two lined areas.
  • Prime Threat: The Infinitron locks onto a prime target, hurling bombs every 2 seconds for 10 seconds, dealing 94,321 - 95,431 damage and knocking them in the air, and then sticks them with a prime charge, dealing 250,053 - 251,542 split amongst all enemies within 10 yards.
  • Blast Wave: When not in melee combat, the Infinitron unleashes blast waves, dealing 200,000 damage every 2 seconds.
  • Apocalypse Protocol: The Infinitron launches a wave of solium energy, dealing 200,000 damage to all enemies, then fires off its weapons in its arsenal before activating its intermission.
    • Apocalypse Protocol: Annihilate: Calls down fiery missiles that deal 200,000 damage to all enemies unless contained, in which it only damages enemies who contain it.
    • Apocalypse Protocol: Eradicate: Launches a ballistic missile that deals 1,000,000 damage to all enemies, otherwise it deals damage split amongst all who contain it.
    • Apocalypse Protocol: Decimate: Deploys a nuclear mine that explodes in 15 seconds, dealing 2,000,000 damage to all enemies unless destroyed.
    • Apocalypse Protocol: Cleanse: On Rising, the Infinitron launches a cleansing solium wave, dealing 100,000 - 102,500 damage to all enemies and stunning them for 6 seconds.

Intermission: Spire Matrix[]

At 25% intervals, the Infinitron puts up a protective barrier, recalibrates its weapons, and summons Infinite soldiers. The intermission ends when a weapon is taken offline or after one minute has passed. Players can decide to take out either the Annihilator, Eradicator, or Decimator, removing its abilities from the encounter, or on Rising, weakening it.

  • Infinite Spire: Launches two (three on Master or above) spires that deal 154,635 - 155,785 damage to all enemies struck by the spires. The spires deploy Infinite Guards that are empowered near the spires.
    • Spire Pulse: The spires unleash pulsing energies, dealing 25,000 damage per second to all enemies within 10 yards.
    • Infinite Guard: Soldiers that use basic [[Sol Reaver]] abilities.
      • Essence Font: Guards killed near spires erupt, dealing 50,000 damage to all enemies within 5 yards, leaving pools of volatile Sol energy on the ground beneath them.
        • Volatile Essence: Increases damage dealt by 10%, but increases damage received by 10%. Lasts 10 seconds.
    • Infinite Cabalist: Volatile casters empowered by their matrices.
      • Matrix Blast: Deals 100,000 damage to the target enemy, and then splits the damage dealt to three nearby enemies.
      • Volatile Matrix: The cabalist gains a 25% damage increase until they reach 25% health, which the matrix runs out of power, or whenever they are near volatile Sol energy.
  • Assembly Cannon: Cannons emerge from the sides of the assembly, launching volatile blasts.
    • Sol Blast: Deals 150,750 - 151,235 damage to all enemies in the blast, then an additional 54,322 - 55,789 damage to all enemies within 20 yards of the blast.
  • Infinite Barricade: Reduces all damage dealt by 99%. Periodically every 5 seconds emits shockwaves dealing 20,000 damage to all enemies. This stacks up to 10 every 10 seconds.
  • Forced Recalibration: The rendering offline of one of the Infinitron's weapons causes it to gain a 25% damage increase to the other weapons and a 10% decrease in cast time.
    • Leaking Energy: After a weapon is rendered offline, it explodes, leaking Sol energy within 10 yards, dealing 84,325 - 85,985 damage per second.

Phase II: Infinite Arsenal (Rising)[]

After three intermissions, the Infinitron activates its backup weapons system, summoning improved versions of the Infinite mechs while it powers up its own weaponry to destroy enemy forces.

  • MK2 Launch Pods: Deploys the Infinite Annihilator II, Infinite Decimator II, and Infinite Eradicator II, dealing 256,895 - 257,335 damage to all enemies struk by the landing of the weapons.
  • Harness Infinity: The Infinitron harnesses solium energy for its powerful omega weapon. 30 second cast.
  • Infinite Collapse: Launches solium bombs in random areas, dealing 34,832 - 35,113 damage to all enemies when they land, and 193,221 - 196,211 damage to all enemies within 15 yards of the respective blast radius.
  • Glassing Beam: Emits a deadly beam from above, glassing the ground, leaving solium flames in its wake. Deals 278,905 - 292,092 damage per second to all enemies hit, and the flames deal 54,344 - 55,983 damage every 0.5 seconds to enemies hit within.
  • Infinite Worldender: The Infinitron begins to fire the Worldender three times, each time instantly killing all enemies inside the blast.
  • Infinite Arsenal: The three mechs attached to the Infinitron's back.
    • Infinite Annihilator II
      • Annihilate: Calls down fiery missiles that deal 200,000 damage to all enemies unless contained, in which it only damages enemies who contain it.
      • Sol Cannon: Blasts a target, dealing 108,553 - 111,982 damage to them and 25% of the damage taken to two nearby enemies.
      • Arsenal Link: Deals 20,000 damage to all enemies when within 30 yards of another Infinite battlemech.
    • Infinite Decimator II
      • Decimate: Deploys a nuclear mine that explodes in 15 seconds, dealing 2,000,000 damage to all enemies unless destroyed.

Intro

A quake ripples the spacetime surrounding the citadel. Enemy forces and that of the Blades are left astir by the chaos and commotion.

  • Salvator Leonus: What on Outhria was that?
  • Abel Strom: I'm not sure, but its coming from outside. The citadel itself is shaking.
  • Rouge Noir: It seems we have more than just the Shard as villains. The malevolence within the sol energy of the citadel stirs up trouble.

The Shardlord's voice comes over the citadel.

  • Shardlord: Deploy the Infinitron units II and III to the citadel breach. The citadel has been breached. My Vryllon, I will be with you shortly.
  • Shardlord: Infinitron unit I is to be deployed against the Blades. We cannot permit them to stir up further conflict.
  • Andro Mikael: Oh, well that's not good.

Andro recovers from an explosion that decimates his entire battalion of battle mechs.

  • Andro Mikael: That monstrosity is armed to the gills. Incredible. Absolutely incredible.
  • Dr. Insano: We MUST destroy this machine. So we can use its parts for later... hahahaha...
  • Dr. Kaboom: It boasts an extensive network of weapons and configurations for seemingly any onslaught. Oh... the Blades have arrived.
  • Salvator Leonus: Esteemed scientists. I am glad you have survived. Great...
  • Deathlius Loss'end: The Shard seems to have quite the collection. First, two cowards, and then a prime being of solium energy. And now, a weapon devised to destroy entire armies.
  • Rouge Noir: It is of the Shardlord's design. He spoke of this before we invaded the planet of Glasskam.
  • Deathlius Loss'end: Invaded?
  • Rouge Noir: Yes. We had to glass it completely. Too much malevolence. But he spoke of a machine of his own design.

Claudrien sighs.

  • Rouge Noir: And this is it.
  • Andro Mikael: They sent two of these things down the corridor to deal with whatever made its way inside. Seems its more of a threat than we are.
  • Deathlius Loss'end: There's three of these things?
  • Dr. Kaboom: Well, we are in the Infinitron Assembly Chambers, after all. With these notes we acquired, we can channel a fast track to the upper levels.
  • Dr. Insano: AFTER we destroy this... thing. Mind your step, heroes. I'm all out of explosives.
  • Andro Mikael: We'll have to divide. Keep the Infinitron at bay; the rest, find another way around. We must get out of the vaults.
  • Infinitron: Infinitron I online. Deploying arsenal after successful recalibration. Threat level to be determined.
  • Andro Mikael: I'll send the reserves of my machinery...

The Infinitron destroys the reserves with ease.

  • Andro Mikael: It's too strong. See what you can do. We're not getting around this without bringing it down.
