Onoronodonovon, or the "Heart of the Labyrinth", is the first boss of Death'kul. Onoronodonovon is a being of unknown origin, resembling a massive heart walking on four arthropod-like legs. Each leg is covered in spikes and razors, allowing him to easily impale and kill his enemies. Along with his legs, Onoronodonovon also possessses a myriad of long tendril limbs, also covered in spikes and razors, as well as a long spike protruding from his rear with which to attack his enemies.

Onoronodonovon is a monstrosity, a horror of unspeakable immorality, a flesh like beast of one of the greatest horrific magnitudes. Its role as the true warden of the Labyrinth suggests it is an end no one wishes to meet, and its origins lie in question. Did Esquire rip nightmares out of the mind of Deathlius to create it, or did Deathlius have it buried under the fortress this entire time, and where did he... obtain such a being?

Abilities[]

  • 32px-Inv_misc_organ_01.png Heart Stalk: Throughout the maze are located five (5) randomly located heart stalks. When a heart stalk is destroyed, Onoronodonovon will be temporary weakened, reducing everything by 75% for 30 seconds. The stalks are randomly placed along with the maze.

Alongside of the enemies encountered within the maze, there are also a few other types of adds that will spawn during the fight. There are no phases, for the fight varies in difficulty depending on how the players in the maze are handling their roles.

Adds[]

  • 32px-Inv_misc_idol_02.png Sculptures of Darkness: Four (4) doors will slide down around the arena, revelaing four (4) enemies. These enemies are complete immobile, and cannot attack players. They can only attack players if the players character is turned away from the sculpture. The sculpture instantly kills its target. Only one player must look at the sculpture for it to remain immobile.
  • 32px-Inv_misc_organ_02.png Heart Crawlers: Onoronodonovon will summon four (4) - eight (8) Hear Crawlers. Each heart crawler possesses 750,000 health. Each Heart Crawler has three (3) abilities they can cast. First, they can cast Gaze of Darkness, connecting them to a random player. This attack will deal 45,000 damage per second, players can remove the damage by running into Onoronodonovon's attack Horror Pool. The Hear Crawler can cast Heart Connect connecting themselves to Onoronodonovon, which will heal Onoronodonovon for 10,000 every 0.5 seconds until the Heart Crawler is killed. Finally, the Heart Crawler can cast Gale of Darkness, connecting itself to a random player, and running towards them. If the Heart Crawler reaches the player, it will explode, dealing 200,000 damage, and leaving behind a pool of shadow, dealing 65,000 damage per second to any player within 10 yards.

Abilities[]

  • Horror Pool: Onoronodonovon will spew a pool or darkness into the arena. This pool will deal 80,000 damage per second to any player within 20 yards. The damage will be multiplied by the amount of players taking damage (2 players = 80,000 * 2, 3 players = 80,000 * 3, etc). If a player effected by Gaze of Darkness runs into the pool, the damage taken by Gaze of Darkness will end, and the pool will disappear.
  • Razor Spines: Onoronodonovon will launch one of its razor covered spines at a random player, dealing 250,000 damage, and applying a bleed DoT, dealing 100,000 damage over 5 seconds. Onoronodonovon possesses four (4) spines in total, so can use this attack up to four (4) times at once, or use it multiple times in a row.
  • Tail Spine: Onoronodonovon will shoot its tail spine at a random target, dealing 300,000 damage. Onoronodonovon will launch it at a random target within 50 yards. The player hit will gain the Horror Dream debuff.
    • Horror Dream: The player effected will begin to take 25,000 damage every two (2) seconds. Players effected will occasionally loose control of their character, causing them to attack their allies. Players will also occasionally get stunned for 5 seconds, causing them to scream and the player will be stuck in place. Any other player who enters within 10 yards of a player who is stunned and screaming will also gain this debuff. The debuff lasts for 30 seconds.
  • Heart Shield: Onoronodonovon will surround himself with a shield, protecting himself from all melee attacks, and reflecting back 80% of the damage dealt back to the player.
  • Heart Barrier: Onoronodonovon will surround himself with a magical barrier, protecting himself from all magic attacks, and reflecting 80% of the damage dealt back to the player.
  • Heart Phalanx: Onoronodonvon will surround himself with an unholy phalanx, preventing players from casting healing spells. Any healing spell cast will instead hurt the target for 50% of the heal, and heal Onoronodonovon for 50% as well.

Preparation/ Tactics[]

It is important to make sure that you know who is going to be in the maze group and who is going to be on the boss group before you enter the instance, for you have very little time to prepare before you fall into the labyrinth. For the maze group, there is one thing that is vitally important if you wish to survive and complete the labyrinth in the fastest, and least deadly way possible, and that is to stay together!

For the players fighting the boss, it is a simple matter of making sure to avoid any attacks you can, such as moving out of the Horror Pool, unless you have the Gaze of Darkness debuff. The adds are not to difficult to deal with; kill any as they appear. If the Sculptures of Darkness appear, make sure every player fighting Onoronodonovon, except for the tank, move quickly to each door, preventing the sculptures from moving.
