The Reaver's Trium is the fifth encounter in the Vryllon Citadel raid, serving as the first encounter of the Vryllon Core wing. After Hatra's defeat and the Shardlord's unveiling of an unknown entity that sent players deep into the bowels of the citadel, they encounter the Reaver's Trium, the three most powerful Sol Reavers in the Shard of the Sun's arsenal - paragons of the Vryllon, the Shardlord's unyielding forces.

During the battle, the fight deals with class identity highly specialized to Sol Reavers, with a twist on some abilities, as their abilities mimic that of playable Sol Reavers, the rest are unique. However, each member of the Trium corresponds to either Matter (tanking), Nova (damage), or Shade (healing). The raid must work on circumventing their abilities to isolate each one of them apart and prevent them from benefitting the others. Their battle has three phases, in which their main abilities get empowered and they gain newer abilities, depending on which member falls first.

The Rising difficulty offers a fourth phase in which the Reavers combine as one into Omnusvryll. In addition, they all share a pool of health whereas on other difficulties they have separate ones, adding to the fight's difficulty. Claudrien assists in the fight as an additional tank that must be kept alive to prevent a wipe on all difficulties, but offers no additional mechanics to the fight except on Rising.

Background[edit | edit source]

...

Abilities[edit | edit source]

At the start of the encounter, players may speak to Claudrien to give him an option of which of the paragons he will tank. If no choice is given, Claudrien will select one with the least threat after ten seconds.

Collectiveness of the Trium[edit | edit source]

The Trium uses specific abilities when one of their collective has fallen. The Reavers - Mollitiam (Tank), Inruitis (Damage), and Serenitas (Healer) replicate these in the event they lose either of their respective kind.

Mollitiam

  • Solium Defenses: Without Serenitas, Mollitiam's self-healing increases by 10%, and reduces damage taken by 10%.
  • Strengthened Bulwark: Without Inruitis, Mollitiam's damage increases by 10%, and the range of his area of effect attacks increase by 10 yards.

Inruitis

  • Defensive Intelligence: Without Mollitiam, Inruitis' attack speed increases by 10% and his Versatility increases by 10%.
  • Adaptable Measures: Without Serenitas, Inruitis gains a 10% increase to his self-healing, and takes 10% less damage.

Serenitas

  • Ward of Impending Threat: Without Mollitiam, Serenitas heals for 1% of her health every 5 seconds, and increases the strength of her damage reduction by 10%.
  • Thorned Defenses: Without Inruitis, Serenitas deals 20% of all damage she takes back to her opponents, split amongst all enemies within 20 yards. Her damage also increases by 10%.

Phase IV: We Are One (Rising)[edit | edit source]

The Paragons become one, turning into a being nearly on the precipice of wielding the true might of Destiny, almost as powerful as the Shardlord himself.

  • Solium Majesty: An overload of energy dawns in the trium's chambers, pulsing for 250,000 damage a hit every 2 seconds over 20 seconds, before the paragons combine as Omnusvryll.

  • Trium's Fog: A hostile mist makes its way around the room, dealing 60,000 damage per second. Contact with the fog causes it to increase in size and damage until contact ceases.
  • Infinite Absolution: The user absorbs nearby Solium Dissonance into the core of their weapon, and then shatters their target's psyche, dealing 305,998 - 311,982 damage and healing the user for 100% of the damage done and granting them a solium barrier that absorbs 75% of the damage inflicted. Increases the damage of the next Infinite Absolution by 100%. Lasts 30 seconds.

    • Claudrien - Your ally in the battle.
      • Rouge-Noir Barrier: A barrier of powerful solium energy that reduces damage taken by 50% while inside the barrier. This barrier can be interrupted by enemy spells and abilities.

Quotes[edit | edit source]

Intro

  • Claudrien: Champions! I'm glad to see you're in one piece.
  • Claudrien: Though the whispers within the walls... in my mind. As if some eldritch beings have made their way into this citadel.
  • Claudrien: But that can't be right... the Shardlord wouldn't allow that to pervert his... sanctum.
  • Claudrien: Are your CODEXes working? Tell me!
  • Claudrien: It seems it is just us. Perhaps the rest of our order survived the fall into the bowels. But we've intruded into a sacred, hallowed ground.

In the distance, the clashing of blades and the volatile turning of an amalgam of solium continues incessantly.

  • Claudrien: In my time as a member of the Sun, I remember the Shardlord speaking of the day he would create his paragons. While he took immense interest in the [[Reavers of Acheron]], they ultimately were never chosen. His Vryllon are unyielding in resolve. And this area, if my memory serves right, is the trium of these reavers. The very best of us.
  • Claudrien: Matter, the solium of resilience. Nova, the solium of power and tenacity. And Shade, the solium of restoration and vigor. Each of these three have mastered one of these forms. I'm afraid even with what I've learned, I come nowhere close to them.
  • Claudrien: Some of our party though may surpass me in that regard. You've incessantly worked with these powers, so much that you may rival them. (If Sol Reavers are a part of the raid)
  • Claudrien: Perhaps we can get some answers out of them. To reach the Shardlord in time. It seems it is becoming more of a luxury we cannot afford.

The trium drops their weapons to face the champions.

  • Serenitas: Claudrien. Otherwise known as Rouge Noir of the Reavers of Acheron. You continue to exist.
  • Inruitis: Your intentions are resolute, though of a purpose we cannot adhere to in agreement.
  • Mollitiam: ...unless you've decided to become a part of the Shardlord's grand orchestration? It is never too late.
  • Claudrien: No. And neither are these adventurers.
  • Mollitiam: A pity. You and your collective were given a chance to carve your own path, to open your eyes to better understand why the Shard of the Sun's purpose is the one that must come to fruition.
  • Claudrien: And be damned to an existence without free will? I think not.
  • Inruitis: Countless observations have made it quite clear that only a select few possess those qualifications. Your world has fallen to the likes of it. And we are here, as paragons, to exemplify what must be done.
  • Serenitas: What the Shardlord has planned is for the best interests of the Equation. For you. For all of us.
  • Claudrien: Don't you realize you speak to me with a lack of free will? Your "purpose" blinds you.
  • Mollitiam: You never could have become a Vryllon. A Vryllon isn't a slave. They are servitors bound to an ultimate design that involves the means to do what is necessary.
  • Mollitiam: And now, you, and your adventuring champions' existence, are no longer necessary.
  • Mollitiam: You had your chances. Far and few in between at times. But we were not here for the answers you seek. You stand before the Reaver's Trium. The Paragons of the Vryllon. If you dare challenge the course of history, step... forward.

Aggro

  • Mollitiam: You have all have made choices. Such is that you will face the consequences!
  • Inruitis: We'll make sure you atone for all the wrongs you have committed.
  • Serenitas: A pity to see that in the end, you will not be apart of what must be done.

Phase Transition

  • You stand in the arena of the Reaver's Trium. Your fate's certainty is assured!
  • Your resilence is admirable, but boldly mistaken. Witness the fury of the Trium!
  • You simply refuse to accept defeat, and delay the inevitable. It is time, champions, to know your place!
  • Time and time again we have stood together. But now it is time... to become... ONE!

Killing a player

  • Mollitiam: Did you even consider the consequences?
  • Mollitiam: Your death only further burdens the others.
  • Mollitiam: You fought well. But not well enough.
  • Inruitis: A fatally wrong choice!
  • Inruitis: Unworthy of anything.
  • Inruitis: Decisively incompetent.
  • Serenitas: Such a shame to see such wasted potential.
  • Serenitas: Consider yourself fortunate to die by my hand.
  • Serenitas: Another star loses its light and fails to flicker.
  • Omnusvryll: Your existence meets its end!
  • Omnusvryll: Never a match for the Paragon.
  • Omnusvryll: You chose death the moment you walked in.

Berserk

  • Mollitiam: Time is a luxury you've mistakenly misused!
  • Inruitis: The time has come for this dispute to cease.
  • Serenitas: Death is the only certainty you've amounted to.

Defeat

  • But we are... the Paragons!

Outro

  • Mollitiam: Well done, reaver... of Acheron.
  • Inruitis: These champions... wield powers beyond our comprehension.
  • Serenitas: A true power of unity. Perhaps... this power could rival even the Master's.
  • Claudrien: So that's it then. Paragons...
  • Mollitiam: You have bested us. We will do no more to burden your ascension to the master's plan.
  • Claudrien: But what IS his plan? Please... I beseech you... tell me!
  • Inruitis: We cannot abide by your demands, despite the outcome of our battle. All we can say is that with each successful obstacle you overcome, you only work to finalize his design.
  • Serenitas: There is a purpose to it. It is no game, Reaver of Acheron. You and these heroes worked to best us... which is part of his plan.
  • Mollitiam: And you follow one who is meant to light the way. Because your drive is as his.
  • Claudrien: Deathlius....
  • Claudrien: Your most wanted enemy. I don't even know if he is alive...
  • Mollitiam: That is for you to discover, Reaver. But due to your actions... we will harness the last of our strength to assist you in the master's finality... if you choose.
  • Claudrien: Why are you doing this?
  • Mollitiam: The Shardlord ordered us to. And we are his Vryllon. It is your choice to make, but will you ascend to the throne where he lies? That is an answer we do not know.
  • Mollitiam: But based off what you have done... you may have a chance.
  • Claudrien: Champions... what should we do? Choose... then we must find the others. I'm starting to... lose my mind with the Shardlord's agenda.
